RILM on the MELVYL System®: Basic Guide

RILM is an index to about 200,000 citations on international music corresponding to the printed RILM Abstracts of Music Literature. This file is produced by the Repertoire International de Litterature Musicale and is updated quarterly.

The RILM database on the MELVYL. system and on the FirstSearchTM system (see reverse) are identical in content, but their searching features differ. Features unique to the RILM MELVYL system version are noted below in bold italics. Use the RILM database on the MELVYL system when you want to search using familiar MELVYL system commands plus some commands unique to the RILM database.

To BEGIN, type rilm at any MELVYL system prompt. Type h or type help at any point in the search for assistance.
