1998/99

'Film-at-Noon' Series. Celebrating diversity
through video screenings. For Women's History Month in March, the Committee
presented two film screenings. Brochures giving brief information on Women's
History and a listing of local Women's History events were available to
attendees.

"An Evening with Angela Oh" In a campus collaboration
with several campus organizations (UCSD Associated Students, The Cross-Cultural
Center, The Women's Center, The Korean American Students Association and
the Pan Asian Staff Association), the Committee presented noted lecturer
and civil rights attorney Angela Oh at the Institute of the Americas on
Monday May 10th. Ms. Oh was selected as an advisor on President Clinton's
Advisory Board on Race, an initiative which was introduced by the President
at the 1997 UCSD Commencement Ceremonies.
