- National Academy Press (NAP) Online Reading Room

National Research Council.

- From the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Provides a gateway to consumer
health information. Includes online publications, clearinghouses, and support groups. Includes
some Spanish language material.
- MEDLINEplus
- From the National Library of Medicine. Provides information for consumers including a
medical dictionary and information on specific common diseases and conditions, some
online textbooks, newsletters, and health news sources. Links to the PubMed MEDLINE
search interface. Do not confuse this with the MEDLINE Plus database from the California
Digital Library (i.e, MELVYL MEDLINE Plus)!
