• Online AMA-FREIDA -- The Fellowship and Residency Electronic Interactive Database Access System (FREIDA) is a database of around 7,400 graduate medical education programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and around 200 combined specialty programs. For AMA student members FREIDA provides a limited mailing label service.
• National Resident Matching Program -- Match Results for independent applicants are available. The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) is a private, not-for-profit corporation established in 1952 to provide a uniform date of appointment to positions in graduate medical education.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Resources

• UCSD CME -- UCSD Continuing Medical Education Courses.
• cmeWEB -- American Health Consultants' service for online registration and electronic CME tests.
• The Interactive Patient -- This site, from Marshall University School of Medicine, simulates an actual patient encounter by guiding you through an online "patient" examination. You are able to request a clinical history, perform a physical examination, and review laboratory data, all online. Your submitted diagnosis and treatment plans are evaluated, then feedback and CME credit are provided. This site received numerous awards.
• CME Gateway -- The Medical Education Collaborative, a nonprofit medical education organization, publishes CME Gateway. This site offers online CME courses and publications, features a CME Directory, and provides links to disease-specific resource centers, government sites, symposia, and travel information.
