This site is divided into 3 main sections: 1) UCSD Healthcare Network Consumer Health, featuring articles written by UCSD physicians and healthcare providers; 2) General Consumer Health Topics (e.g., alternative medicine, ethnic minority health issues, women's health, plus an extensive listing and links to many national medical associations, healthcare organizations and government agencies); 3) Specific Consumer Health Topics, the links in this section are maintained by HandiLinks and present a variety of Web sites devoted to specific consumer health issues.

Enter your keyword search, e.g., "prostate cancer" and a listing of links will be listed. Some of the links are other web sites, other links are full-text documents. National Library of Medicine (NLM) Medlineplus
This is a one-stop gateway to a variety of consumer health related resources. Links on common diseases and conditions, medical dictionaries, access to MEDLINE via Internet Grateful Med and PubMed is provided. Links to various clearinghouses, as well as a variety of online publications is also provided. An excellent place to begin your search of critically reviewed resources.
