	Classes and Instructional Opportunities: Spring 2001

The Biomedical and Medical Center Libraries' staff are pleased to offer a variety of classes for our faculty, staff and students. Sessions are primarily targeted to School of Medicine and Biology Division faculty, researchers, staff, students, and UCSD Medical Center staff. Additional customized sessions of any of our workshops may be arranged for UCSD users. To schedule individual consultations, please see our Consultation Services page. Most workshops are open to members of the San Diego community. A registration fee of $15 is charged to non-UCSD attendees.

	CDL BIOSIS Previews Learn to search the BIOSIS database for citations to journal articles, books, book chapters and conference papers in biology & biomedicine. Uses the CDL Web interface.	Thu Apr 12, 3-4:30

	PDAs: Palms Don't Grow on Trees Lunch & Learn session: bring your lunch - discreetly please This class will introduce Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) such as Palm Pilot, Visor, etc. We will cover selecting a PDA, basic tools, and locating medical applications. Consultation & Outreach Services Free consultation services are available to UCSD faculty, staff and students. In-depth consultation or instruction on a wide variety of topics, such as searching ROGER, CDL databases, MEDLINE/HealthSTAR, InfoPath, the World Wide Web, is available by request.
